Municipal Waste are gonna fuck you up!! … or so the crowd chanted…

… and a fair majority of the metalhead crowd probably did leave a little worse for ware, if not because of the circle pits, then definitely because of the alcohol. It was definitely a drink fueled party down at the Islington Academy… and all the better for it.

The night was pretty damn rowdy from the start and it didn’t relent through the awesome support of Seregon, Mutant and Toxic Holocost (photos to follow).

After what felt like a long night of music, teh Waste appeared and the bodies started flying over the crowd. The photography pit was not the safest of places to be. One crowd surfers feet nearly landed on my camera… I was just lucky that my head got in the way to deflect him.

So first time shooting at the Academy in Islington. Lighting was difficult, and there were no backdops behind the band… just a black curtain to shoot against. They also put less dry ice in the air then they usually do at that venue making the ambiance pretty boring. Anyway .. here are some of my better pictures from the headliners….
