THEORY OF A DEADMAN

The only thing worse then being a band that sounds like Nickelback… is being Nickelback. So my expectations for this show were not exactly high. If recent single ‘I Hate My Life’ was anything to go by, I could see myself walking out after taking my photos. But….

….well it wasn’t all that bad in the end.

The Crave opened then night, playing the Academy for the 137th time this year. As always they put on a good show and although a few of their songs seem fail to hold my interest, the good stuff is very good indeed.

Theory of a Deadman were obviously going leave their recent ‘hit’ until the end which was great as it meant I didn’t have to listen to it. So, I was surprised that the rest of the set, which although was pretty standard radio friendly American rock music, was actually enjoyable. In fact they are way better then the band they sound like they want to imitate. The fans in the audience obviously know what is going on and they sing along with each word… and because of this the band look like they are enjoying the night immensely.
